What is Single Sign-on?
Single Sign-on (SSO) is a method of accessing multiple software systems (i.e. Google, DocuSign, Dayforce) using a single ID and password. The benefits of using SSO include:
Mitigating risk for access from 3rd party sites (passwords aren’t stored externally on another company’s servers)
Reduced password repetition, which can lead to someone gaining access to your Google account
Reduced time spent re-entering passwords for the same email
Less time spent trying to reset passwords.
SSO also allows us to leverage Google’s advanced technology for detecting anomalous activity on your account, providing an additional layer of security, as well as insight for the IS team.
