Closed Captioning


Closed captioning utilizes Google's extensive voice to text algorithms to see what your and your party are saying at all times. This is especially useful if you have a party that is phoning on a poor connection, or perhaps there's a soft speaker in the chat.


To enable closed captioning:


  1. Join or start an existing meeting  
  2. Select "Turn on captions" in the bottom right-hand corner


Recording a Meeting

Audio playback is a great way to review content that may have have been missed in a conversation or to send to a co-worker that may have msissed the meeting.


NOTE: Recording a meeting requires the consent of everyone in a meeting to a recording. Please ask for permission before proceeding




  1. Join or start an existing meeting  
  2. Select the 3 vertical dots in the bottom right-hand corner
  3. Select "Record Meeting" and follow the prompts on the screen

A copy of the recording will be uploaded to your My Drive afterwards, after which you can share. This may take some time for the file to upload, and you will get an email notification once it's been shared with you.
