From time to time you may encounter a fingerprint that proves to be stubborn. The following remedial actions should help with this.


a) Ensure the sensor area is clean. Use a cotton cloth or tissue with alcohol or contact cleaner.

b) Review the user’s fingerprint for quality, condition and placement.

c) For some users you may need to re-record the fingerprint samples several times before you get a representative sample. You may also need to try a different finger or the other hand.

d) As a final work-around configure the user to use a User Id and Password.

In the event that the fingerprint scanner (ACTAtek) becomes unresponsive or is not functioning correctly it may be necessary to reset the system by disconnecting and reconnecting power.
